7 tips for machining precision mechanical parts

When processing parts, we will strictly control product quality. In this regard, our company’s technicians are very professional. He told me that he has 7 skills when controlling product quality:

1. The grinder technician checks whether the equipment is operating normally

Before using the grinder, first check the machine circuit, whether the switch button is working properly, whether the center of the grinder shaft is concentric, and whether the center shaft of the grinder has collision marks that cause the wheelbase to deviate. This can ensure the product quality of CNC parts during the production process.

2. Whether the detection accuracy meets the standard.

Before testing, we must first prepare test tools for calibration. Generally, the calibration accuracy used by precision machining factories is between 0.001-0.005. When our company processes CNC precision machinery parts, the testing equipment used is specially selected from Switzerland. , Relatively speaking, the error is small, and the precision of the manufactured parts is higher.

3. Detect the wheelbase error of the grinder

First, take out the accuracy calibration table and start to detect the position of the grinder shaft. We need to deal with products that do not meet the requirements.

4. Use a precision calibrator to check whether the shaft is concentric

When our precision meter head touches the grinder shaft, the pointer will start to rotate slightly. Don’t be afraid. This is normal operation. For example, when the pointer rotates to one of the values (80), do not touch the meter head at this time. After touching, how to check the needle value after adjustment? At this point, we can use the gear box that comes with the grinder, turn on the switch button, and adjust the speed to the lowest point. At this time, we should pay attention to the movement of the pointer in the calibration table. If it remains at the value (80), it means that the axis is complete. If you find that your hands are swaying from side to side at this time, it means that the shaft has been severely collided or the machine has problems.

5. After testing the basic operation of the grinder, how to start using the grinder and choose a grinding wheel?

We select the appropriate type of grinding wheel according to the parts to be processed. The general markings of grinding wheels are: 46K, 60K, 80K, 100K, 120K, 180K, 220K, 320K, 500K, etc. How many grinding wheels are used? Choose according to the position of CNC parts processing.

6. Correctly choose the processing wheel

When processing parts, we will strictly follow the drawings provided by customers for processing. Before processing, we will pay attention to the size of the parts, and then use the roughest grinding wheel to grind off the excess grinding wheel, just like making artwork, making the product fine little by little.

7. Finishing and grinding in place

When processing, if there is a soft material, it is usually used in a jig that does not require hardness, such as s45, s50, P20, NAK80, 718, etc. The hardness of these soft materials is about 20-40 degrees, which is intended to use molds that do not require hardness. This material is usually easy to process. The temperature in the grinding process is not very high, it is not suitable for deformation, and it is easy to control the size. But be careful when using hard materials for processing. When roughing, the heat must be controlled. If the heat is not well controlled, the size will directly become smaller after cooling, and no correction can be made. It’s difficult here. DH31, 2083, 1.2344, 1.2510, DF2, SKD61, S136 and other material models are materials that need to be hardened, and the hardness is required to be between 52-54 degrees, which is used for molds that require high requirements and high temperature resistance. The service life should be longer, of course the price is much higher. Remember that when processing this material, the edges should be gradually cooled and processed. If it is hot, use alcohol or heat transfer between the workpiece and the workpiece to cool the part to the desired state. After the rough machining is completed, finish machining the remaining amount to the size required by the drawing to ensure that it is foolproof. Please use alcohol or heat transfer between the workpiece and the workpiece to cool the part to the ideal state.
